Amalgam Waste
Best Practices Management
Standard equipment captures up to 80 percent of amalgam waste in dental offices. Adding an amalgam separator allows an office to capture at least 95 percent of amalgam waste in order to recycle it.
As of January 1, 2017 there is a new EPA rule in effect on amalgam separators. Learn more about best management practices and the new EPA rule for amalgam waste and separators to help protect the environment at ADA.org.
